Education System:

Education in Hong Kong is modeled on that of the United Kingdom. It is handled by the Education bureau and the Social Welfare Department. The academic year begins mid-year usually starting in September. They have the provision of GCSE, IGCSE and A-levels for British Students. US students take APs and most of the schools follow International Baccalaureate program. Medical Education in Hong Kong started from the founding of the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese in 1887.
